OpenBuildings™ Designer Help

Structural Snaps Toggle

Used to toggle structural snaps. Enables Structural Snaps to replace default keypoint AccuSnaps behavior for Structural elements. When the snap mode is set to keypoint (default mode), AccuSnap on Structural members ignores all the individual keypoints of elements comprising the Structural member graphics and work as if the Structural member was a line or a curve. Structural snaps reduce the number of mouse clicks needed to locate a specific point by providing immediate, visual feedback that identifies pointer location. Structural snaps eliminate many modeling errors caused by inexact placement of members.

Note: To view Structural snaps, you must have a Structural member selected.
